Aan het begin van de coronacrisis kwam er al snel een groep wetenschappers, artsen of anderszins deskundigen die kritiek hadden op de aanpak van de crisis. Ook hadden zij bedenkingen bij het gevaar voor deze nieuwe infectieziekte en probeerden zij te relativeren en nuanceren. Deze mensen kregen echter geen podium in de reguliere media en zochten dus hun weg op het internet. Er verschenen nieuwe alternatieve nieuwskanalen waar ze hun verhaal konden doen. Sommige mensen hadden hun eigen youtube kanaal en gingen over of rumble als ze daar werden gecensureerd.

Soms wil je informatie delen met mensen over wat deze experts te zeggen hebben. Maar als je het profiel van deze mensen op wikipedia er op na leest dan zijn het mensen die misinformatie verspreiden, complotdenken of zelfs antisemitisch zijn.

Boem.. .Daar gaat je verhaal en je geloofwaardigheid. Degene waarvan jij de informatie deelt blijkt een charlatan.

Maar klopt die wiki informatie wel? En hoe weet je nog wat waar is?

Gelukkig houdt wikipedia, maar ook het internet geschiedenis bij. Je kan dus kijken wat er eerder over deze mensen werd geschreven.

Een aantal heb ik hier op een rijtje gezet ter illustratie. Ik houd het kort maar je kan hier een hele studie van maken.

Een paar grote namen in het coronaverhaal. Bijna al deze mensen raakten hun Linkedin en twitterprofielen kwijt.

Michael Yeadon

Dr. Robert Malone -

Deze alinea ontbreekt 13 dec 2022: Malone was selected as one of five guest editors for a 2021 issue of Frontiers in Pharmacology titled "Treating COVID-19 with Currently Available Drugs". Along with three of the other guest editors, Malone resigned in protest after Frontiers Media SA, the journal's publisher, pulled several articles that had passed peer review. Later that year, according to Malone, he was banned from LinkedIn over what he claimed were posts he had made questioning the efficacy of some COVID-19 vaccines.

Wolfgang Wodarg

De alinea Career is in deze versie helemaal anders. De meer dan 1000 publicaties en meer dan 500 citaten worden niet meer genoemd..

Dus wil je weten wat iemand zijn expertise is? Ga terug in de tijd en zoek naar informatie vóór Corona. Je krijgt dan een heel ander beeld. Kijk wat de persoon in kwestie heeft gepubliceerd. Dus zoek ook naar andere bronnen.
